Mission Statement

The mission of University of Louisville Continuing Health Sciences Education is to provide quality life-long learning to healthcare professionals in the disciplines of medicine, nursing and public health. These activities are offered to regional, state, national and international audiences.

Purpose: To provide healthcare professionals in medicine, nursing, and public health with the most comprehensive, up-to-date and scientifically sound healthcare information and educational training.

Content Areas: Topics will be selected based upon expressed needs and interests of the healthcare professionals, multidisciplinary in nature, and delivered in a manner consistent with the topic.

Target Audience: Healthcare professionals in medicine, nursing, and public health as well as other healthcare professionals.

Activities and services: Activities will include but not be limited to symposia, lectures, hands-on workshops, use of enduring materials including web-based activities, journals, monographs and self-study videotapes, etc. Activities and services will be based upon the expressed needs of the healthcare professional.

Results: Improve the delivery of healthcare and educational training by providing comprehensive, up-to-date and scientifically sound activities and services to healthcare professionals as evidenced by participant responses and documented by random follow-up.
