PURPOSE AND TARGET AUDIENCE
During his six month service in Iraq,
Dr. Gerald Grant, an officer and neurosurgeon in the U.S. Air Force and clinical faculty in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, managed neurological trauma as well as blast traumas and general surgical practice. Dr. Grant's battlefield experiences as shared in this online course demonstrate the real-life application of mass casualty triage.

This course has been designed for physicians in the following specialties: Primary Care, Internal Medicine, Family Practice and Pediatrics. Nurses and any other healthcare professionals interested in the topic are also encouraged to take this course.


CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT
Physician Credit - University of Louisville Continuing Health Sciences Education designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1.5 hours of Category 1 credit toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Nursing Credit - This program has been approved by the Kentucky Board of Nursing for 1.8 contact hours through the University of Louisville School of Nursing, provider number 3-0046-01-2013-13, expiration date January 31, 2013.
